Week 07 []

Identify the questions you still need answers

  • Should I provide an indication of the entity of the mouse?
Does the entity remain consistent throughout the session, or does it change during it?
  • How does it start? Is there a certain limit to the experience?
If not, could it become boring? How much time do I expect users to interact with it?
On which platforms and in which scenarios should they interact with it?
  • Is it important to know which story the character emerges from?
    Some people think it is.
  • What will the dialog text be when it appears? (maybe from the story?)
  • Maybe I should give users the ability to experience several characters, not just one, as the project could feel limited at that point.
  • Should I define the interaction between the user and the character based on space and time? Is it an unfolding experience?
  • What is the size of the character? How much space is there for interaction?
In general, what is the role of space?

Next steps for user-testing:

  • Create an interaction between the mouse and the skeleton.

Nice to have:

  • The ability to generate different characters with different behaviors.

3 Push decisions:

  • To find someone who will do the drawing integration for me?
  • I'll limit the interaction to only be face on one side of the screen and not be stuck changing the direction the character is facing in 2D (that looks really bad).
  • mmmmmmmm

Plan of attack:

  • How should I define the interaction between the user and the character based on space and time? Is it an unfolding experience?

Option of attack:

  • Currently the interaction will not unfold but maybe I can enter new characters after the first one is finishing its main behaviors?
  • I need to create specific parameters that will gradually increase and will demonstrate a big change in the character behavior? For example,if the user clicks and the character reacts with anger, when the user continues clicking the more anger it will be? The anger increases.
  • I can also transfer some of the behaviors to different behaviors - if for example at first my character got angry when I clicked, and ran away, maybe as time passed, she gets used to it and does something else?
  • Which behaviors will remain constant and which will change? or increase? How many behaviors do I need for the character to feel diverse?

Space:

  • Maybe I can also give the characters the ability for example to climb the walls of the screen? To be aware of the change in the environment between itself and the user?

Time:

  • Maybe when the time passes and the user is not interacting with the character the frame is decreased?
